Operation Crossfall
Operation Crossfall is a secondary-level investigation set in the fictional coastal town of Anchors Bay. A pedestrian is struck by a vehicle late at night and left in the road with serious injuries. When the vehicle is found abandoned nearby, students quickly discover this is more than a simple collision. The driver has fled, staged a fake burglary to explain the damage to his car, and fabricated an alibi to mislead the investigation.
Across six stages, students work through witness statements, CCTV logs, cell site analysis, forensic reports, and interview transcripts to dismantle the cover-up piece by piece. Designed for middle and high school (grades 7-11), the case strengthens critical reading, forensic reasoning, sequencing, and evidence-based writing while connecting to PSHE themes including road safety, alcohol awareness, and the consequences of deception.
